By default, SMS messages are sent from our dedicated number. If you prefer, you can configure MechanicDesk to send SMS messages from your own mobile number instead.
Once logged in, go to: Settings → Workshop Details → Miscellaneous
Then click on the field “Workshop name when sending SMS” and enter your mobile number. This will allow MechanicDesk to send messages from that number.
You will receive a verification code to that number confirm that you own the number.

Notes
Replies will not be captured in MechanicDesk, you will need to monitor and manage customer replies directly on that mobile number.
If no number is configured, SMS messages will continue to be sent from the system’s dedicated number.
