Sometimes internet providers can have trouble connecting to MechanicDesk. This usually happens because of DNS settings.
We recommend using the following reliable and secure DNS servers:
1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare)
8.8.8.8 (Google)
You can set these DNS addresses directly on your router, which will fix the issues for all devices in your workshop
Note: Some modems already have these DNS addresses preconfigured.
How to Update DNS Settings
Windows
Open Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center.
Click your active network → Properties.
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) → Properties.

Mobile Devices (iPhone, iPad, Android)
Most mobile devices connected to Wi-Fi will automatically use the DNS settings configured on your router. In many cases, this is all that’s needed.
Some devices also allow you to set custom DNS directly on the Wi-Fi network:
iPhone / iPad (iOS)
Open Settings → Wi-Fi.
Tap the blue (i) icon next to your connected network.
Scroll to the DNS section.
Change Configure DNS to Manual.
Add 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8, then save.
Android
Open Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi.
Tap your connected network → Edit (or Advanced).
Look for IP settings and change it to Static.
Enter 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 in the DNS fields.
Save your changes.
If You Can't Set a Custom DNS on the Device
Some devices don’t allow DNS changes for Wi-Fi, and mobile networks (4G/5G) usually force you to use their DNS.
In these cases, you can use the free 1.1.1.1 app by Cloudflare, which securely routes all DNS traffic through 1.1.1.1:
Android: Download from Google Play
The app is simple to set up, works over mobile data and Wi-Fi, and is a quick and easy way to change your device's DNS.
